Ingredients
- ½ cup ground almond flour
- ½ cup pecan halves or chopped walnuts
- 2 scoops (about 3½ tbsp) vanilla protein powder (Orgain tested; other powders will alter flavor)
- 4 tbsp smooth almond butter with no added sugar
- 4–5 tbsp honey (local, raw if possible)
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch ground nutmeg
Note About Protein Powder
Orgain Organic Vanilla is what I used when testing this recipe. It’s dairy-free and plant-based; using a different protein powder will change the taste and texture slightly.

How to Make Spiced Almond Butter Energy Balls
This recipe is straightforward and fast.
- Place all ingredients, including 4 tablespoons honey, into a food processor and pulse until the mixture is smooth.
- Scrape down the sides and pulse again if needed to fully combine.
- If the mixture is too dry to form, add an extra tablespoon of honey and process again.
- Roll the mixture into about 24 quarter-sized balls.
- Enjoy immediately or store for later.

Storage
Keep the bites in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to four days. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months—perfect for meal prep or quick snacks.
