I’m thrilled to share some exciting news.
A few years ago I met Karen from Sunday Suppers online. Karen needs little introduction: she’s an accomplished stylist and photographer and the creative force behind Sunday Suppers. When we first connected we talked about collaborating, but life—between books and babies—kept both of us busy.
Recently we picked up the conversation again and quickly decided to make a special event happen in New York City at Karen’s newly renovated studio—a beautiful, light-filled loft in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
After working out the details, I’m happy to announce two special days in NYC at the Sunday Suppers loft.
Saturday, June 23 :: Full-Day Styling & Photography Workshop
This full-day workshop at the Sunday Suppers loft begins with a morning visit to the market to choose the season’s best produce. We’ll bring the ingredients back to the loft in Williamsburg for hands-on instruction.
During the workshop you’ll prepare, prop, and style food for the camera, learning how to use natural light to create images that reflect your personal aesthetic. I’ll guide you through composition, styling details, and practical techniques to improve your food photography.

Meet at the Union Square Farmer’s Market at 10am

Sunday Supper :: Sunday, June 24
On Sunday I will teach a hands-on Sunday Supper class where a small group of students will cook alongside me to prepare a three-course meal. The session concludes with a seated dinner where we’ll enjoy the food together.
