Looking back at the top 10 new gluten-free recipes of 2017, I’m pleased to see they reflect my blog’s aim: to share recipes for easy meals and sweet treats for your gluten-free family. The list is a balanced mix of comforting savory dishes and indulgent desserts — and this is the first year that the savory recipes outnumber the sweets!
While these were the most popular posts I published in 2017, you may also enjoy seeing the most popular new recipes from 2018 and 2019.
As always, a huge thank you to everyone who reads and supports this blog. After five years of sharing recipes, I still love hearing when you try something and it becomes a family favorite. Your feedback means so much.
For reference, you can also find the yearly roundups from earlier years on the blog if you’d like to explore even more gluten-free favorites.
On this annual roundup I focus only on recipes first published during the year in question. So, from all the new recipes I posted in 2017, here are the top 10 that you, my wonderful readers, visited most often:

10. Gluten-free French Dip Sandwiches – A family favorite and one of my kids’ top five meals. Perfect for hungry meat-eaters, and I updated the recipe and photos this year to show how I make them now.
9. Gluten-free Pizza Waffles — one of my most creative ideas of the year. They’re fun, easy, and perfect for lunch or a casual dinner.
8. Gluten-free Bacon Ranch Quesadillas — a tasty switch-up when we’re ready for something different from the usual chicken-and-cheese quesadilla. Always a crowd-pleaser.
7. Gluten-free Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Chip Buttercream — I adore these cupcakes. They’re rich, chocolatey, and special enough for celebrations or a simple treat.
6. Gluten-free Pull-Apart Cinnamon Rolls — a long-awaited recipe that finally made its way to the blog. They’re perfect for weekends, holidays, or any morning you want indulgence with minimal fuss.
5. 30-Minute Gluten-free Chicken Tortilla Soup — a quick, comforting weeknight meal that comes together in about half an hour. Warm, satisfying, and easy to customize.
4. Gluten-free Triple Chocolate Cookies — a favorite to bring to meetings and potlucks. They disappear fast and I’m often asked for the recipe when I serve them.

3. Gluten-free Sweet Chicken — a longtime staple in our home. I updated the photos this year to make the dish more appealing, and many readers have added it to their regular rotation.

2. Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars — an easier, quicker version of chewy chocolate chip cookies. No chilling required, and they’re perfect for bringing to gatherings.

1. The most popular new recipe of 2017 was an appetizer: Gluten-free Chip & Guacamole Bites. These bite-sized snacks are ideal for game day, holiday parties, or any gathering where finger food is welcome.
Beyond the top 10, here are three of my personal favorites from 2017 that were published later in the year and didn’t have as much time to climb the rankings. These are recipes I make often and highly recommend:
Gluten-free Snickerdoodle Pumpkin Muffins — soft, spiced, and seriously delicious. These were a hit on social media and with readers who tried them.
Gluten-free Apple Pear Tart — likely the most visually striking dessert I made that year. It’s elegant, surprisingly simple to assemble, and tastes as good as it looks.
Gluten-free Zucchini Spice Bread — a versatile loaf that freezes well and makes a great gift. Had it been posted earlier in zucchini season, it likely would have ranked even higher.
Thank you again for spending another delicious year with me. If there’s a recipe you’d love to see on the blog, please let me know — I always enjoy hearing your ideas and requests.
