30-Day Water Challenge: Improve Hydration and Energy Fast

I can’t ever seem to drink enough water.

For some reason, staying hydrated feels like a chore for me. I often forget to drink until it’s dinner and I realize, oh no, I haven’t had any water today.

Do you have the same problem?

They say it takes about 30 days to break a habit, so it stands to reason it can take 30 days to build one, too.

Enter the 30 Day Water Challenge.

The idea is simple: print the free challenge and place it where you spend most of your time—on your fridge, at your desk, or another visible spot. Each time you drink a glass of water, color in one of the glasses on the sheet. Watching the page fill up can be motivating, and the colorful pattern that emerges halfway through is a fun visual reminder of your progress.

Water Drinking Hacks

Set an alarm.

If you struggle to remember, set an alarm or multiple reminders throughout the day. Treat hydration like any other appointment you can’t miss.

Get a cup you love.

Having a favorite cup or tumbler can make a difference. You’re more likely to reach for a drink if the vessel is appealing and keeps your water cold.

Or use plastic bottles.

For convenience, keep a supply of bottled water in the fridge. Being able to grab a bottle quickly makes drinking easier throughout a busy day.

Change your phone wallpaper.

You check your phone constantly, so a motivational wallpaper or lock-screen reminder is an easy, modern substitute for a sticky note on the fridge.

Pair the printable challenge with a couple of these hacks and you’ll be more likely to build a consistent water habit. Here’s to getting hydrated!
